In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top 5 travel and local apps on the Android platform in France exhibited diverse trends in downloads and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at the performance of these popular applications.

HomeAway Vacation Rentals saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting from 13.9K in late September and reaching 43K by the end of December. Active users mirrored this growth, climbing from approximately 75K to 142.5K over the same period.

SNCF Connect: Trains & routes experienced a more fluctuating trend in downloads, beginning at 33.5K at the start of the quarter and decreasing to around 21K by the end of December. Despite this, active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 1.9M mark throughout the quarter.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel recorded a gradual decline in weekly downloads, from 27.4K in late September to 22.8K by the end of December. Active users also showed a downward trend, dropping from 650K to approximately 607.7K over the quarter.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, beginning at 15.2K and rising to 20.7K by the end of December. Active users showed a similar trend, starting at 157.9K and ending at approximately 164.5K.
